temporal lobe: A part of the brain involved in processing auditory signals and memory formation.

transmissable spongiform encephalopathies (TSEs): A group of diseases that are caused by prions, including CJD and BSE (also known as "mad cow disease"). These diseases cause holes in the brain’s tissue, making it look like a sponge.

tremors: A symptom that involves an involuntary movement of a part of the body.

vascular dementia: Also known as multi-infarct dementia. A type of dementia brought on by multiple strokes, each of which disrupts blood flow to a small part of the brain. The result is increasing memory loss and decreased mental function.
