My father-in-law has Parkinson's disease and recently made an inappropriate sexual remark to me. My husband and I don't know how to handle this. He keeps coming over to our house and he calls me on my cell phone when he thinks my husband is not at home. At one point I did talk to him when he called and he said that he needed to talk to me about "our conversation" and he was sorry he hurt me. I don't want to be around him right now but we live beside them. I don't think he has told his wife. We really don't know what to do.

I've been caregiving for my dad for the last two years. His Alzheimers has got to the point where I have to help him do almost anything, and he can be a real brat about it when he wants.
I was helping him change today and he started swearing at me. I just blew up at him and cussed him right back. I think I scared him.
I've been feeling guilty ever since. I can't talk to my sibs about this--I'll get chewed out for being mean to dad. I know he can't help himself, but sometimes it just gets so hard to deal with.

Lately I seem to be so forgetful: I go into rooms and can't remember why, I lose my keys, I forget to call people back.
Is memory loss a normal part of aging? I'm only in my early sixties and the thought of Alzheimer's is really scary.

My Dad has Parkinsons. All this came on very fast. Just within the last 3 years he's gone from a full-time job and a full life to this blank piece of paper. In the last 6 months, he has been more out of it than in. He goes blank, he gets cold to the touch; it's like he goes into a trance. And his eyes change colors. Over the three years, they have lightened. Now, they have gone from a dark, dark brown almost a black to a funny amber color. When he has these spells they get very amber and blood shot also.
Could be his meds ? Told his doctor but no reply other than "It's part of the illness." Could anyone confirm?
Thank you,
Donna

My uncle drives everywhere. I know he's in the early stages of dementia, but he insists on driving. My cousin's worried sick. Can he still drive safely?
